PRODUCERS

Anyone who places new batteries and accumulators on the Italian market is required to take responsibility for managing the waste derived from these types of products once they reach end-of-life.

This responsibility can be managed individually, by directly implementing a national collection system for flat batteries and accumulators, or collectively, by joining with other battery and accumulator producers to create the collection system.

The CDCNPA has the task of coordinating the action of its consortium members (whether individual or collective systems) to ensure homogeneous and uniform collection methods throughout the national territory.

Registration with the CDCNPA is mandatory as required by Legislative Decree 188/08.

Registered Producers are required to report to the CDCNPA the quantities of batteries and accumulators placed on the market, through an annual declaration that must be completed following the guidelines published by the CDCNPA.
